WINTER YOUTH RETREAT

Winter Youth Retreat is a special gathering of young singles 17 and up. For five days young people are able to step back from the challenge and battle of living for Christ in this present world and regroup for training, fellowship, and refreshing from the Lord.
The retreat is usually held in
Grass Lake, Michigan the last week in December each year. Young people from around the United States and Canada
attend. In the past few years, large numbers of youth have assembled for this unique camp environment.
Paul LaFontaine and Barry Coffey, with their wives Rebekah and Becky, work together as Directors of the Retreat. They are assisted by a support staff of over 15 men and women dedicated to providing a quality atmosphere and experience for each one who attends.
WYR is unlike any other camp setting with its focus on teaching the Word of God specific to the spiritual needs facing the new generation.
Back in 1986, the first Retreat was held in
Ontario, Canada , under the direction of Paul LaFontaine and his father John. Jeff Jenkins and Daniel Williams preached that week and set a standard for the next 20+ years of many other ministers who are able to get down on the level with young people and bring them essential scriptural standards to live an overcoming life.
The morning training classes of Barry Coffey the last 15 years have been an incredible wealth of practical principles on courtship, conduct, purity, planning, finances, and much more. Evening services, preached by many different men through the years have always been anointed and create the atmosphere for hundreds of new births in Christ.
