Missions Getting the Message to the Spanish speaking people in their own language

Dear Saint,

This past year has seen a revolution in the way that we as believers can spread the end-time Message throughout the world. Utilizing the power of the Internet and making use of the lowered cost of computer hardware due to the advancement of modern day technology, Bible Believers initiated a physical network of print stations for the distribution of the Message. These printers have access to the Message in 39 languages through the online MessageHub (http://messagehub.info) and are each capable of printing over 1000 sermons a week. Likewise, individual users around the world may access the the MessageHub and print their own copies of sermons from their home computers.

This new means of distributing the Message greatly simplifies the logistics of getting the Message to the people as the costs and complications of shipping large quantities of books along foreign trade routes to distribution centers in 3rd world countries are no longer present. That over 14,000 sermons were downloaded between October 20th and November 19th of 2009—only 4 months after the beta release of the MessageHub—clearly proves the merit of such a system for connecting believers with the resources of this Message.

With physical barriers now removed, the last remaining significant barrier is that of language. With over 39 languages available on the MessageHub, all but English have less than 500 sermons available. As English speakers, it is hard for us to imagine the effect of having so few resources available to us from the Message that is meant to dress the Bride of Christ for His soon appearing. Ministers in these countries do not have the benefit of being able to pull upon the whole body of the Message to feed their flocks. In turn, the laity in these countries do not benefit from the full context of the Message, let alone having access to many key sermons for their own individual study. The wonderful quote-based devotionals, quote collections, and search programs we have here in the states are also just a lofty dream for most Word hungry believers worldwide.

At Literal Life Tabernacle, we believe that as English speakers and citizens of a prosperous country, we are blessed to be beneficiaries of both great spiritual and natural wealth. With this blessing comes a great responsibility, for in Luke the 12th chapter, Jesus relates the parable of the stewards and their rewards upon the coming of their Master, ending with the refrain “for everyone to whom much is given, of him shall much be required.” Furthermore, in Mark 16:15, those believers who had been entrusted with the Gospel were commissioned to spread it into all the World.

Finally, end-time scripture tells us that the gospel of the Kingdom must be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations before the end shall come (Matt. 24:14). As end-time believers, we are charged to “prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings (Rev. 10:11).”

Quoting from the prophet:
[It Becometh Us to Fulfill All Righteousness  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-4  61-1001M]
“And if we are the lights of this age, there's so much Scripture that's got to be fulfilled during this age. And it's up to us. (Hallelujah.) It's up to us to see that all God's righteousness is fulfilled. And what is His righteousness? His Word.”

It’s up to us then; those who have been entrusted with the entirety of the Revealed Word for this Hour. We believe it is our responsibility to spread this end-time Gospel into all the world in preparation for His coming.

In the Fall of last year, our pastor, Brother Paul LaFontaine, shared a long held vision for getting the Message to the Spanish-speaking people in their own language and how he would like to see our church work with Bible Believers to get more sermons into the Spanish language.

With an estimated 417 million Spanish-speakers world wide, Spanish is second only to Mandarin Chinese as being the most spoken language in the world. Despite this fact, only a little more than 40% of the Message has been translated and made available to the Spanish people through the Message Hub (Fig. 1). Notwithstanding these limited resources, the Spanish believers have demonstrated their appreciation for what they do have. Of the 14,437 downloads from the Message Hub over the 30-day period cited earlier, 45% of them were Spanish sermons—a total of 6,437 Spanish sermons downloaded in 30 days!

As the Spanish people have clearly expressed a hunger for the Word and the need for a translation work was evident, our church took our pastor’s vision to heart. Working closely with Bible Believers’ Spanish coordination team, which oversees the Spanish work for the MessageHub, we have begun to form a network of translators to actively translate the remaining portion of the Message into Spanish. Currently, we have three translators, one of which is full time. This team of translators is the only active translation work contributing to the MessageHub in the Spanish language. Our vision is to see this team grow to five or six members continuously translating the Message into Spanish.

It has been my pleasure to have the opportunity share my church’s vision with you and I hope that you too have been inspired by the work to reach God’s people in other lands. I ask for your prayers as we press toward the task that has been given us. Right now, one of our biggest barriers to this project is being able to find quality translators within the Body and be able to support them financially. Supporting these translators in 3rd world countries is a double blessing as we not only get the Message to the people, but we support precious brothers and sisters in the Lord as we do this. If you would like to help us, just click on “donate” to the left and choose one of our giving options. We cannot do this on our own and help from believers like yourself is key to seeing this vision through.

May the Lord bless you,
